Six years, twenty-two rooms
Four projects a year, in the order they were finished.
Flat on Carrer Nou
A first floor with the original hydraulic tiles under three layers of vinyl. We lifted them, kept them, and built everything else around their colour. The only new wall closes off a bedroom that had never had a door.
Hotel Marina, six rooms
Six rooms above a harbour, each with a different plan and the same four materials: linen, lime plaster, oak and brass. The owners wanted twelve rooms. Six is what the building had.
Casa Peris
Plaster mouldings recast from a surviving corner, and shutters taken back to the wood. Nothing added that was not there in 1912, except the wiring and a second bathroom.
Apartment above the market
No building work. We changed the lighting, the curtains and where the furniture stood, and the flat stopped feeling like a corridor. Three visits and one long list.
Can Bassa
A house a family had lived in for forty years and wanted to keep living in. Half the furniture is theirs. The kitchen is where it always was, only usable.
Two rooms on the Rambla
A ceiling that had been boarded over for decades, and the paint colours found underneath it. The first project we turned down twice before agreeing to do it properly.
