We take four projects a year. It is not a strategy; it is the number we can be present for.
Why we say no so often
An interior is decided in the hundred small choices nobody records: the height of a shelf, whether a door swings in or out, which wall the light falls on at six in the evening. Those choices cannot be delegated and they cannot be hurried. Four projects a year is what two people can attend to that closely. We turn down more work than we take, and we try to do it in the first week rather than the third month.

Interiors
Plan, light and joinery. Fifteen years, the first nine of them in a furniture workshop, which shows.
Pere Vall
Materials and restoration
Plaster, tile, stone and paint. Knows the three people on this coast who can still cast a moulding.
How a project runs
Four stages, ten to fourteen months
A whole interior in an old building takes about a year. A room takes about a month. The stages are the same, only shorter.
A morning in the rooms
We walk through the place with you, twice: once in the morning and once late in the day, because the light is the thing most briefs get wrong. No charge, no obligation, and we tell you at the end whether we want the job.
The scheme
Six to eight weeks. Plans, a sample board you can hold, and a budget with real numbers in it. At the end you own the scheme and can build it with anybody. Most people do not, but the option is real.
Building and making
Six to ten months, depending on what the building hides. One of us is on site every week. Joinery and upholstery are drawn for the workshops that will make them, not bought from a catalogue.
Furnishing and the last day
We buy, place and hang. The day it is finished we leave a folder: every paint code, every fabric, every maker's telephone number. You should never need to ask us what something was.

Furniture, materials and trades are invoiced to you directly at the price we pay. We take no commission from suppliers and no discount that is not passed on. Ask us and we will show you the invoices.
Next year is not full yet
We usually agree a project six to nine months before it starts.
